Reeves Library 2020-2021 Academic Year

Physical Access to Reeves Library and the Music Library

  • Reeves Library’s front doors will remain locked – card access only. Library access is limited to Moravian students, staff and faculty
  • Registered Bethlehem area teachers and local clergy may make an appointment to use the library
  • Reeves Library is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm, Saturday from 12:00pm to 6:00pm, and Sunday from 1:00pm to 10:00pm
  • Music Library is open Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm; access is by appointment only, and only one patron at a time
  • The music library is closed on the weekends

Masks and Social Distancing

  • Everyone entering the library must wear a mask.
  • Paper masks are available at the circulation desk for anyone who enters without wearing a mask
  • Signage throughout the library notes limits on occupancy of study and conference rooms, as well as the elevator

Cleaning

  • Library users are expected to clean spaces before and after they use each space
  • Cleaning staff will enter the libraries at 9 PM Monday-Friday to sanitize

Circulation

  • The inside circulation desk book drops will be blocked for the coming academic year. Patrons returning books are instructed to use the outside book drop boxes
  • The music library will use a cart outside the library door for book returns

Reserves

  • There will be no print reserves 
  • Pages may be copied that demonstrate a teaching point
  • Reserving films is allowed

Reference Services

  • For involved reference questions, we encourage students and faculty to schedule remote meetings with librarians. Reference librarians have been having great success over the summer using Zoom for library instruction and reference meetings
  • The library uses the ‘Ask a Librarian’ chat application available from the library’s homepage for immediate questions regarding library policies or research resources
