From June:
We regret to note the passing of Marian Carty Durkee on March 2, 2010. She was a member of the Secretarial Class of 1941 and faithfully attended class and college events. She is survived by three daughters, Janice Parry, Judith Burton, and Christine Simpson, seven grandchildren and one great-grandson. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Jackson Leland Durkee. The Class extends deepest sympathy to her family.
It is with deep sorrow that the college class of 1943 notes the death of Grace Shaner Schuchardt on March 19th, 2010. Grace faithfully kept in touch with members of her class. She is survived by her husband, Lee Schuchardt, three sons Frank, Jonathan and Benjamin, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Our sincere sympathy is extended to her family.

Both Marian and Grace are greatly missed.

From June:

Betty Adams Roach and husband Jack recently attended a televised book talk held each weekend at the Clinton Book Shop in Clinton, NJ. They heard a most interesting talk given by author, Bruce Chadwick, who reviewed his latest work, “I Am Murdered.” It is the fascinating story of the life and death of George Wythe, a signer of the Declaration of Independence and close friend of Thomas Jefferson. Wythe realized he was poisoned after drinking a cup of coffee, and declared, “I am murdered.” It is a truly interesting read.

Betty Roach and Jack, and Dottie Humenik Hixson and husband Harold are still living in their own homes, truly remarkable at this age.

Your correspondent recently had a showing of twelve oil paintings at an Art Walk and lovely reception given at Westminster Village. Several other artists showed paintings and tapestries.

We are saddened to report the passing of Margaret Terr Willey on February 15, 2009. Margaret was a faithful member of our class. We extend our deepest sympathy to her husband, Edward, two sons, a daughter, and a grandchild. We shall miss her.
