Twenty-nine years after they first met on Moravian’s Campus, Beth Moxey and Jim Lindenmuth ’90 were married on September 8, 2018, in Emmaus, Pa.  Jim has worked in the industrial gas industry since graduation and currently heads the Distribution Systems Team in the U.S. for Airgas Merchant Gasses.  Beth works as a creative copywriter at KickCharge Creative Direct Marketing in Washington, N.J.  The couple resides in Allentown, Pa.

George Hrab an accomplished musician, and drummer for The Philadelphia Funk Authority, will be a speaker for TEDxLehighRiver at their third program of presentations and conversation, scheduled for September, 19 at Miller Symphony Hall in Allentown, Pa.  George has traveled to four continents, promoting critical thinking, science and skepticism through story and song.

 A message from Michelle Litzenberger Trent:  In mid-December my husband, David, and I adopted a baby girl and named her Maria Joy.  We have been quite busy tending to her every need.  We brought her home directly from the hospital 48 hours after her birth.  We are thrilled.  If we are not yet friends on Facebook, please feel free to send me a Friend request.  I can be found on FB as Michelle Litzenberger Trent.  I will be resuming part-time work in February.

Holley Lambert Kearns has been hired as branch manager of First National’s Bank in Tannersville.  She will manage branch operations and sales efforts including the development of new business and customer service efforts.  She currently lives in Stroudsburg with her husband, Kevin and their son.

Todd Parlee has been appointed to president of ParleeStumpf in Doylestown, Pa..  ParleeStumpf is a marketing, branding, and web-consulting agency.  Parlee first joined the firm as a graphic designer and developed the agency’s first website division over a decade ago.

Kathryn Schaar Burke is debuting a special illustration of “Pip the Mouse,” a fictional mouse puppet well known to the people of the city of Allentown.  This year marks the 50th anniversary of Pip’s arrival in Allentown and it will be celebrated at the Liberty Bell Museum in Allentown on November 15. This celebration will be one of the events in 2012 marking the 250th birthday of Allentown. In 2007 Kathryn has created an activity book for both children and adults about Pip and the history of Allentown.  This led her to writing a second book about Pip and other fictional books that tell the history of the Lehigh and Delaware Canals in Pennsylvania. Kathryn is the exhibitions and collections manager at Muhlenberg College’s Martin Art Gallery.

The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) announces Bill Darcy as the new chief executive officer. In his new role, he will continue the leadership he began in April 2011, as executive vice president, and as evidence of the positive impact his direction provided, the organization has officially announced an increase in the membership, bringing the total number of NKBA members from nearly 40,000 to more than 50,000.

Williams Township selected Jennifer Smethers, executive director of Allentown’s Redevelopment Authority, to take over as manager.  She was hired by the redevelopment authority in 2007 as assistant director and promoted to executive director last year

We are very saddened to report that Virginia “Ginnie” Rohn passed away on September 25, 2011. She fought a two-year battle with breast cancer. Ginnie was a teacher at Liberty High School where she was also a former head coach and assistant coach of the girls volleyball team.

Bill Darcy was currently promoted to executive vice president of the NKBA, National Kitchen and Bath Association.  His duties will include oversight of the marketing, membership and education departments of the association.  Since joining the NKBA in 2006, he has introduced a number of innovative programs that have contributed to the growth of the association.
