What is your role at the University and what is something many may not know about the work you do?

I'm the Chief of Police. Behind the scenes, there is a lot of coordinating with the City of Bethlehem Traffic Bureau and Police Department when planning on campus events that may spill out into the community.

My favorite spot on campus is…

The top floor of PPHAC, because it overlooks the academic quad that showcases some of the older buildings on Main Campus.

What’s your favorite Moravian tradition?

Matriculation and graduation. At the former, you sense the excitement of what the future will bring for our incoming students as they begin then academic endeavors. At the latter, you see the excitement of those that completed their academic journey.

My typical weekend goes something like this:

During the school year, first thing, I hold my breath then check my email. In the fall, I watch college football. In spring, I watch golf. Also, enjoy a nice dinner out with family and friends.

Have you received a #MyMoPaw?

I received a MoPaw from the Sisters of Gamma Sigma Sigma, as did the entire Police Department. It made smile because it was a kind expression of their appreciation for the officers and their service to the college community.

What is your favorite thing to do when you’re not on campus?

Golf, because it provides me the opportunity to spend time with two close friends that I grew old with.

What’s your biggest pet peeve?

Finding shopping carts scattered about in the cart corral in the parking lot. Collect the carts and stack them in the corral for the cart person!      

What is the best advice you have ever received?

Growing up, the elders would say, "Kid, remember two things: the older you get, the quicker time will go and you will hate the cold." The truth be told on both points.

What sound do you love? Why?

The sound of the ocean waves crashing on the beach. When I hear it, it means I am on vacation.

Favorite ice cream flavor? Why?

Bing Cherry. Why not!
