Mission
With a focus on community and attention to craft, the Moravian College Writers’ Conference will provide writers of all genres and levels the opportunity to focus on their work and breathe new life into their writing. The goals of the conference are to advance the craft of writing; facilitate the exchange of ideas among writers of all levels and genres in a supportive, inspiring environment; provide a meaningful educational experience; and enhance the artistic and cultural life of the Lehigh Valley.
- Conference attendees will benefit from working closely with experienced faculty, including both published writers and publishing professionals.
- Conference participants, both students and faculty, will be active members of a writing community, inspired and enriched by the setting of Moravian College’s campus.
- Through workshops, craft talks, panel discussions, readings, and keynote addresses and interviews, participants will discover and learn from both established and emerging contemporary writers.
- The conference’s focus on craft, community, and inspiration will provide an opportunity for all participants to energize and enhance their own work, while also making valuable connections with other writers.
