Interest Sessions
Families and friends may choose one of the following sessions to attend, and another during the next time period (11:00 to 11:45 a.m.). The final schedule and room listing will be posted at registration.
- The Moravian College Promise- "Strong Academic Major"
Coordinator: Katie Desiderio, Associate Professor of Business Economics
This session will cover the unique aspect of Moravian College's commitment to cultivating strong academic majors for our students, specifically from a Management faculty member's perspective. Pedagogical practices will be discussed using specific examples of how our faculty encourages student curiosities through both hands-on and team-based learning, connecting theory and practice, and of course the personal touches provided by our faculty members.

Explore the various hands-on learning opportunities offered to students through the Career Center and Center for Leadership and Service. Internships, volunteer service, job shadowing, leadership programs, and mentor programs prepare students for meaningful participation in the world. Presenters will discuss programs and activities such as e-Portfolio, Backpack to Briefcase, On Campus Recruiting, Liaison Program, Career Connections, LeaderShape, Community Fellows, Emerging Leaders, The 1742 Experience, United Student Government (USG), as well as club and organizational leadership.

Moravian College students are strongly encouraged to add a study-abroad experience to their liberal arts education. All majors can study abroad and earn credit towards their Moravian degree programs. Come and learn about opportunities for your student to spend a May term, summer, semester, or year in programs available throughout the world. Support your student by helping to plan now for the academic and personal experience of a lifetime.

It's a great day to be a Hound—and a hungry Hound as well. You won't want to miss our fun-filled tailgate picnic in the middle of campus. Our marching band and cheerleaders will entertain us as we enjoy good food and fellowship as good hounds do! Tickets are required.
