What inspired you to attend Moravian Theological Seminary?

Evening and online classes were very attractive to me as a non-traditional student.

What inspired you to pursue your major?

I have a calling to help others see God's love for them. I plan to accomplish this through hospitality ministry.

What are your career goals and desired profession?

I want to open an affirming welcome center ministry.

How has your experience at Moravian Theological Seminary contributed to your personal growth?

I came here as a transfer student and was questioning my call and discerning what to do next. The understanding and guidance from my professors helped me to find God's voice again.

If you met someone new and had to describe yourself in one sentence, what would you say about yourself?

I have fire in my soul and grace in my heart.

What is one word to describe your Moravian experience?

Awakening.

What are your favorite student experiences at Moravian?

I enjoy getting to know people from across the country. There was even a student in one of my classes who lives in Germany.

Thank You

Thank you so much for your incredible generosity in funding my scholarship. Your gift is particularly meaningful to me as a non-traditional student. While the seminary’s flexible hours allow me to pursue this calling, it is your financial support that removes the final barrier. It transforms a potential opportunity into something I can fully embrace.

Without your financial support, I would not be able to help my neighbors. I spent a year in campus ministry, and led students in a fiber ministry creating hats, soap sacks, and premature baby clothes. I was also able to apply for a $75,000 grant to address campus hunger. I used the knowledge that I learned at MTS and started a free breakfast in my city's neighborhood. I have taught classes on cultural appropriation and inclusion at my workplace. All of this could not have been done without your commitment to Moravian Theological Seminary and the seminarians.

Knowing you support students like me is a profound encouragement on my journey toward a future in ministry. I pray I will be a faithful steward of this investment as I seek to compassionately serve God and the community. This scholarship is a true blessing, and I am sincerely grateful. I send you my heartfelt thanks.
