Lighting the Way Campaign

Andrew W. Hart ’90, P’23

Let's keep lighting the way for our students, their future, and the next generation!

Dear Greyhound community,

When the Board of Trustees and our campaign committee launched the Lighting the Way campaign, we knew we were setting an ambitious goal—$75 million, the largest in Moravian’s history. But we had faith in the Greyhound spirit, confident that our community would rise to the challenge. And rise you did!

I am thrilled to share that thanks to your dedication and generosity, we have surpassed this goal two years ahead of schedule! This achievement speaks volumes about the strength of our Moravian community and our shared commitment to provide for future generations’ access through scholarships, meaningful learning experiences, and leading-edge facilities and technology. It is a testament to the dedication of alumni, faculty, students, administration, and friends of the university who believe in our mission and vision.

Reflecting on my own experiences at Moravian, and those of my wife, Eli Shute Hart ’90, and my daughter, Caroline Hart ’23, I am reminded of the profound impact this institution has on its students. Moravian is not just a university—it is a place where students discover their passions, build lasting friendships, and are empowered to make a difference in the world. That spirit, the Moravian spirit, is what led us to this achievement.

As we celebrate this milestone, we must also look to the future and recognize the work is far from over. As the saying goes, “Call one Hound, and the whole pack comes running.” This sense of unity and shared purpose will continue to guide us forward. The opportunities for growth are limitless and our new goal reflects that: no limits. Together, we will build on this momentum, ensuring a limitless future for Moravian University and its students. Thank you for your unwavering support and belief in our mission and what we can achieve together. With your help, we are truly lighting the way and shaping a future that is brighter than ever.

With heartfelt gratitude,
