Hound Hacks

After graduating from Moravian in 2019 with an English major and Africana studies minor, Keyshawn Griffith was accepted to the Saint Francis College MFA Program in Creative Writing. When he is not focused on completing his program, he uses his poetry to fight for social justice. Griffith invites you to write your own social justice poem and offers one of his own as an example.

If you could cure the world of one societal illness with a poem, what illness would that be? In no more than six lines, write a poem that describes the remedy for that illness.

ENVY
Too much jealousy mixed with greed
Ingredients for the remedy,
you already have all that you need
You must create this potion with all of your blessings
Drink it
Realize that you have more than you are deserving
