NURS 322 2 TR: Experiential Learning in Global Health
May 6 to May 13, 2023 (May Term)
Explore Central America’s second largest country, Honduras, as you study global health issues specific to high-risk populations and contribute to the learning community through individual research projects. This 8-day trip over May term is a requirement of the NURS 322 2 TR course and is led by Moravian professors Dr. Pamela Adamshick and Dr. Beth Gotwals. The Moravian Nursing program has been impacting health through a local faith-based organization—Healthy Ninos Honduras—since 2009. Consider joining our May term 2023 team!

TENTATIVE Itinerary
All the landmarks mentioned in this itinerary will be visited. Some changes may be made in the order they will be visited.
Day 1: Fly from the US to Honduras
Day 2: Visit facilities, Nutritional Center and prepare supplies for the week. Visit a local waterfall.
Day 3 to 6: Serve in the local community with Medical & Construction Brigade at various locations in Comayagua
Day 7: Fly from Honduras to the US
