What are Career Readiness Digital Badges?

They’re a way to showcase the skills and competencies you’ve developed outside the classroom at Moravian. Career Readiness Digital Badges are a perfect digital record of those aspects to highlight on your résumé or portfolio and discuss during job interviews.

Moravian University’s eight badges are based on what employers are seeking, according to National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) research.

Moravian University received the Distinguished Program Award at the 2024 Suitable Pathways to Student Development conference for our Career Readiness, and the Program Growth Award in 2025 for our Digital Badging program's remarkable growth in reach and impact, and dedication to enhancing student experiences. In 2026, the university received Suitable Pathways Most Creative Marketing Strategy Award, national recognition highlighting our innovate approach to promoting the Elevate experience, career readiness, and student engagement. 

How do I earn Career Readiness Digital Badges? 

You earn points toward your badges during your time at Moravian by attending lectures, joining student organizations, participating in research or a short-term travel program, and more. Track your activity participation through Suitable, a platform and app specifically designed for digital badging.

Completing the badges is also one of the requirements to be eligible for the Career Promise that’s part of our Elevate undergraduate experience.

Elevate Career Promise

If you meet the eligibility criteria, and are not employed or enrolled in graduate school within one year of graduating from Moravian University, you'll qualify for financial support to assist with paying your student loans or free enrollment in select undergraduate or graduate courses, and continued support from your career success team.

Eligibility for Elevate Career Promise

  • Earn all eight career readiness digital badges before graduation
  • Complete an Elevate Travel experience or the RISE Teamwork & Leadership program
  • Achieve a cumulative 3.0 GPA at the time of graduation
  • Complete individual career coaching appointments* with the Laurie Riley ’82 Center for Career Success, with a minimum of one (1) appointment for each semester of enrollment at Moravian University. *Appointments may be completed during the academic year or summer, providing students flexibility in completing their required career coaching appointments prior to graduation.
  • International Students: Student visa holders (non-immigrant visitors) are also required to meet all SEVP and immigration requirements. The student must work with Moravian’s Center for Global Education to determine their eligibility to remain in the United States after graduating.
