As a Moravian student, you will work closely with a team of advisors who will provide support, feedback, and advice as you work toward your academic, professional, and personal goals.

Student Success Advisor

  • Works with students prior to major declaration
  • Provides support and referrals
  • Assists with course planning and navigation of college systems, policies, processes

Faculty Advisor

  • Guides students to engage in the intellectual community of the university
  • Connects curricular learning to learning opportunities beyond the classroom
  • Supports student connections to faculty

Career Strategist

  • Provides continued career exploration support
  • Helps students identify strengths, interests and values
  • Navigates the Career Readiness Digital Badges
 

Your First Year

First-year students enter the University as "undeclared" and are assigned a Student Success Advisor. The Student Success Advisor collaborates with advisees to introduce opportunities at the University, create degree plans, and declare a major.

Student Success Advisors offer proactive, personal attention for:

  • Transitioning into university life
  • Exploring academic majors
  • Understanding degree requirements
  • Troubleshooting course concerns
  • Referring students to campus resources
