  • Henry Dieckman Scholarship Fund - created by President Bryon L. Grigsby ’90, P’22 and provides annual financial support to a deserving student.

Why Moravian Theological Seminary: I am very involved in the holistic approach to helping people heal, so Moravian Seminary fits my need to recognize people as a collective whole while working with their spiritual, emotional, physical, and cognitive parts.

How are you hoping to serve your community post-graduation: I plan to get back to helping the homeless population by giving them psycho-education and access to healing.

Something learned at Moravian: I have learned that God is love, and no matter what religion people follow, we are all united through our love of God.

Most rewarding since coming to Moravian: I have learned how to engage and appreciate cultural diversity on a higher level.

Favorite thing to do when you are away from campus: Spend time with my loved ones.

Favorite book, film, song, or art: Amazing Grace is a very touching song for me. It describes just how thankful I am that God has been working in my life, even during the times that I felt God forgot me.

I can never resist a good____: Opportunity to help another person.

Who inspires you: My inspiration is Jesus Christ as He was so sweet to everyone, helped so many, but also found time to nurture His soul and relationship with God.

What the scholarship means to me: This scholarship will mean that I am being helped once again by God. He is once again shining His light on me, especially during a time like this in my life when I am just trying to get through without forgetting my purpose in life.

"This scholarship means the most to me and will carry me through one last semester. I will then have the opportunity to display the ways God has bestowed His grace upon me and the many others I will journey out into the world to help."
