Moravian Societies

Thank you to our extraordinary supporters!

All gifts make an important impact on the Moravian experience for our students of this generation and the next. The Moravian Societies comprise alumni, families, and friends who put Moravian at the highest level of their philanthropy. Their generosity and service allow Moravian to continue its mission to educate our students for lives of leadership and service.

Support is critical to Moravian's mission and the health of the University community. In all our accomplishments—both past and those to come—we are grateful for your commitment to our students as they discover their brilliance.

The Moravian Societies include the following:

Spring 2024 Update

Happy Spring and Thank You

The final weeks of the spring semester always have our students buzzing with anticipation of commencement and summer break. Lately, campus seems even busier with all the sites and sounds of the Haupert Union Building Expansion underway! This year has been filled with countless brilliant moments, and none of them would have been possible without you! Thank you for giving so generously to Moravian University and Theological Seminary and Lancaster Theological Seminary.

Each of you, as a member of our giving societies, changes the lives of our students every day. You passionately contribute to Moravian through your loyal, leadership, lifetime, and legacy giving to ensure our future is as bright as our past. I am delighted to announce we are transforming the branding of our societies to better illustrate the rich history and significance of each society's name! Studio art major Faith Morales ’25 is using her incredible talent to develop society logos that are uniquely Moravian. Please stay tuned as we will officially unveil the logos in the fall.

Check out our full spring Societies Newsletter for student and supporter spotlights, as well as details about exciting things happening around campus. Thank you for making a difference in our students’ lives and lighting the way for their success!

Fall 2023 Update

Thank You

The fall semester is always a time of new beginnings and exciting ambitions! Our students kicked off this academic year with such enthusiasm and have already made an incredible impact on our campus and community. Their eagerness to succeed and go above and beyond is because of the tremendous support they feel from you.

We recently held the Moravian University Societies Dinner—our annual event to celebrate you, our most dedicated supporters who put Moravian and our students at the top of your philanthropy. The celebration featured three student speakers who shared why they were drawn to Moravian and what motivates them every day to be extraordinary:

  • Catherine Lovett ’25 is a three-sport student-athlete pursuing a nursing degree and the inaugural recipient of the Anna Nitschmann Society Endowed Scholarship. Read Catherine's remarks from the Societies Dinner.
  • Larisa Fava ’21, S’26 received their bachelor's degree from Moravian University, are pursuing a Seminary degree, and serve as Moravian's assistant director for spirituality and inclusion. Read Larisa's remarks from the Societies Dinner.
  • Prince Sokpo ’25 is a neuroscience major and chemistry minor, student-athlete on the football team, senior resident advisor, course mentor, and Millennium Fellow. Read Prince's remarks from the Societies Dinner.

We also highlighted the success of Lighting the Way: The Campaign for Moravian University. Renderings showing the exciting plans for the Haupert Union Building Expansion Project were on display.

Thank you for being such an important part of our community. Your generosity and commitment to our students make all these wonderful stories and experiences possible. Thank you for lighting their way to success every day!
