Student Spotlight

"I am so unbelievably grateful for your generosity—I am so passionate about nursing, and your generosity allowed me to pursue that passion. Moravian is my second home, and I would not be here without your willingness to help students reach their goals and dreams."
Jadyn is a junior nursing major and psychology and public health minor from Orefield, PA. After graduation, she plans to pursue a nursing position in a local hospital. Jadyn is a sister of Mu Sigma Upsilon, secretary and diversity chair for the Eden Chapter, secretary for FroNation, and a former 1742 leader. She is a recipient of the Timothy Breidegam Memorial Scholarship Fund created in memory of Timothy by his parents, Delight and Helen. The fund provides financial aid to students with preference to employees of East Penn Manufacturing Company and their children.
Something learned at Moravian: I have sort of found myself. Once I met my people, I truly discovered who I am, which allowed me to succeed in what I have been striving for. I am more confident in the clinical setting, and I think that is because I am more confident in myself.
Most rewarding since coming to Moravian: The most rewarding thing since coming to Moravian is seeing all of the changes I am making on campus and just knowing that I am going to leave campus and people will still remember me. Maybe not everyone, but the important people are going to remember what I have been able to contribute to the Moravian community.
Favorite Moravian tradition: Heritage Day
Favorite thing to do when away from campus: Hang out with my friends
Favorite book, film, song, or art: “I Am Woman” by Emmy Meli
I can never resist a good____: book
Who inspires you: My mom inspires me to keep pushing toward my dreams and that I am meant to be here. She pushes through any adversity, and she instilled that in me.
What the scholarship means to me: This scholarship means a lot to me. It means I am one step closer to reaching my goal of becoming an RN and taking care of people. This scholarship helps me become the best version of myself.
