The Future-Ready Classroom: Elemental Pedagogy for Contemporary Learners
Summer Workshop and Graduate Course
Step into five unforgettable days of creativity, community, and joyful music-making! The Future-Ready Classroom: Elemental Pedagogy for Contemporary Learners summer workshop invites music educators and music education majors to Moravian University from July 6–10, 2026, for an immersive professional development experience unlike any other. Inspired by the elemental magic of Orff Schulwerk, this course blends music, movement, drama, storytelling, and puppetry into an energetic, inclusive learning journey. Whether you're an undergraduate just starting out, a new teacher finding your voice, or a seasoned educator seeking fresh inspiration, you'll discover new ways to invigorate your classroom—and graduate credit is available!
Across the week, you’ll explore hands-on instrumental play, design meaningful lessons, create welcoming learning spaces, and build the classroom culture you’ve always wanted. From crafting your own classroom puppet to moving through folk dances, drumming circles, and community events, each day is infused with imagination and collaboration. You’ll leave with ready-to-use resources, practical strategies for joyful and responsive teaching, and a revitalized sense of purpose. Come ready to play, create, and transform your teaching—your students will feel the difference!
