A Letter from the President

President Grigsby

Dear Moravian community,

There are moments in the life of an institution when we pause to celebrate what we have accomplished. For Moravian University, this is one of those moments.

Through Lighting the Way: The Campaign for Moravian University, our community achieved an extraordinary milestone. Together, we surpassed our campaign goal of $75 million two years early and went on to achieve more than $102 million in philanthropic support for our students, our campus, and our future. Fiscal Year in Review

Moravian University

Moravian University welcomed its largest incoming class of 541 students for the fall 2026 semester. Factors contributing to this success: a favorable financial rating (BBB+ Issuer Credit Rating from S&P Global), the recent opening of the Haupert Union Building student center, and the ability to launch programs that meet the needs of the market, such as aviation management and AI-readiness.

Moravian University received an issuer credit rating of BBB+ from S&P Global Ratings in May. This rating reflects Moravian’s long-term financial management, organizational stability, and strategic vision.

$100 Million for the Future

Moravian University Achieves Historic Campaign Goal

Andrew W. Hart
Rev. Dr. Nola R. Knouse

Reaching a historic fundraising milestone is a moment of celebration for any institution, but for Moravian University and Theological Seminary, crossing the finish line of Lighting the Way: The Campaign for Moravian University is something far more profound. Lighting the Way soared past its ambitious $75 million fundraising goal—building upon Moravian’s profound legacy and providing its students with more than $102.1 million in scholarship support, experiences, and learning spaces—and stands as the most transformative initiative in Moravian’s nearly three-century history.

At its core, the success of Lighting the Way is a story of a community uniting behind a shared belief in the power of education. Driven by the leadership of Campaign Chair Andrew W. Hart ’90, P’23, and Campaign Vice Chair Rev. Dr. Nola R. Knouse S’09, the campaign has illustrated that when alumni, families, faculty, staff, trustees, and friends join together, the resulting momentum creates an extraordinary legacy.
