The Sustainability Committee at Moravian College is comprised of faculty, staff, students, and alumni who work to educate and promote sustainability efforts on campus. Initially founded as the Sustainability Task Force in 2007, the group greatly expanded sustainability initiatives at Moravian College and became a standing committee in 2009.
GreenHounds FundThe GHF was established to fund projects on campus that help the environment and reduce College costs overtime. All savings as a result of these projects go right back into funding more sustainability efforts on campus.
Tree InventoryThe tree inventory serves as a master catalog of over 1200 trees on Moravian College's campus. Learn more about each tree's location, age class, common name, genus, and species of all the trees on campus on an interactive map.
Memorial TreesLarry Mayers, groundskeeper at Moravian College from 1984 to 2010, donated a handful of trees upon his retirement to honor those who had inspired him during his time at the College.
Tree Campus USAMoravian College has been recognized as a Tree Campus USA since 2015 for meeting five core standards for sustainable campus forestry.
