The Sustainability Committee at Moravian College is comprised of faculty, staff, students, and alumni who work to educate and increase sustainability efforts on campus. Initially founded as the Sustainability Task Force in 2007, the group greatly expanded sustainability efforts on campus and became a standing committee in 2009.
GreenHounds FundThe GHF was established to fund projects on campus that help the environment and reduce College costs overtime. All savings as a result of these projects go right back into funding more sustainability efforts on campus.
Heritage TreesWhen looking at the College's history, turn to the trees. Our Heritage Trees are some of the oldest and largest in the nation.
Memorial TreesLarry Mayers, groundskeeper at Moravian College from 1984 to 2010, donated a handful of trees upon his retirement to honor those who had inspired him during his time at the College.
Tree Campus USAMoravian College has been recognized as a Tree Campus USA since 2015 for meeting five core standards for sustainable campus forestry.
