ELIGIBILITY: Second-semester freshmen, sophomores, and first-semester juniors in good standing at Moravian College are eligible to apply for the program.
INTERVIEW: All applicants will have a personal interview with a committee comprised of the Coordinator of the PCPP and at least two members of the PCPP committee.
NOTIFICATION: Students would be notified of their application status in time for registration for the following semester (2-3 weeks after the application deadline).
CURRICULAR PLAN: Once accepted into the program, each student will fill out a tentative curricular plan for completion of the program. The student will do this in consultation with the PCPP Academic Advisor. This plan will remain on file in the office of the PCPP Coordinator, and it can be modified as needed, in consultation with the PCPP Academic Advisor.
ORIENTATION AND OTHER OPPORTUNITIES: Each fall and spring term, the Coordinator will conduct a workshop for all newly admitted PCPP students. The coordinator will organize both on- and off-campus events for PCPP students, as well as notify them of other campus events (such as our InFocus Programming) on topics of interest to potential Peace Corps volunteers. At least once a year, the coordinator will organize a talk, Skype or Google Hangout session with Peace Corps alumni or other representatives. A member of the PCPP campus committee will organize a social media page to facilitate interaction among PCPP students. PCPP students are invited to reach out to the Moravian College Peace Corps alumni to learn more about their experiences.
