Find Your Program: Exchange vs Affiliated Providers
Moravian University students can study abroad for a semester or academic year through either an affiliated provider program or an exchange program. Both pathways allow students to remain enrolled at Moravian, maintain eligibility for applicable financial aid and scholarships, and receive support from the Center for Global Education.
Affiliate programs may include study abroad, internships abroad, or combined study + internship opportunities and often provide a more structured support system. Exchange programs involve direct enrollment at a partner university and are often best for students seeking a more independent and immersive academic experience.

Through exchange programs, Moravian students are nominated to study as visiting international students at one of Moravian’s partner universities, offering a rewarding and affordable option for those seeking a more independent and immersive experience abroad.
Exchange programs may be a good fit if you:
- Want a more independent experience
- Are comfortable navigating a host university abroad
- Want to be more fully integrated into the local university community
- Are flexible with course availability and scheduling

Some host universities may require visiting international students to take courses in the host language, and English-language course availability may be limited. Students should research course options carefully and work with CGE and their academic advisor to determine whether an exchange program is a good academic fit.
