What To Do

During an emergency, the first step is always remain calm. The calmer you are, the more clearly you can assess a situation and make sound decisions.

• Know the Emergency Procedures - Is there a specific department or class procedure to follow during an emergency?
• Know Who to Call - For major emergencies call 911 or MUPD at (610) 861-1421.
• Know Where to Go - Know where the closest assembly points are if you have to evacuate a building.
• Walking Alone - Find a friend or classmate to walk with you or take advantage of our Campus Police, they are more than welcome to assist you.
• Working Alone - Have a friend or coworker check in on you whether they stop by or call, especially if you are working in the laboratory.
