Honors Project Support Grants

Along with your application to the Honors program you are invited to submit a proposal for an Honors Project Support Grant. The intent of this grant program is to provide funds that will allow Honors students to enhance their projects in a meaningful way.

Your 1-2 page proposal should be submitted with your Honors application and should describe how you would use an award of up to $300 to support or enhance your Honors project. Include a detailed budget with any other sources of funding, and a note of support from your Honors advisor.

Note that these are competitive grants and your request may be only partially funded. You should contact the Honors committee immediately if the award is insufficient to complete your project. The award is not intended to fund conference travel; please consider applying to the SOAR program if you need travel funding.

The deadline for submitting proposals is the early Honors application deadline – typically midterm of the semester before you would like to begin your project.
