Moravian University's Doctor of Science (DSc) in Health Sciences is specifically designed for dedicated physical and behavioral healthcare providers who aspire to become influential faculty members. This comprehensive research doctorate empowers you to bridge clinical excellence with academic innovation, providing advanced training in cutting-edge research methodologies, higher education dynamics, and transformative teaching practices.

At a Glance

Modality: Online, asynchronous with an annual, 2-4 day summer residency

Duration: 

  • Full time: 6 terms (2 calendar years)

  • Part time: 12 terms (4 calendar years)

Students can change their full or part-time status at any term change with notification to the program director and student experience mentor.

Completion: 57 credits

Total Cost: $43,200 plus travel, food, and accommodations for 2 summer residencies

Program Overview

The Doctor of Science (DSc) in Health Sciences program is designed to prepare experienced healthcare practitioners to become exceptional faculty members and leaders in higher education. This online, asynchronous program* offers maximum flexibility for working professionals and is supplemented by limited, short-term residencies that provide opportunities for networking, mentorship, and hands-on learning. Graduates will emerge as innovative educators and leaders who make meaningful contributions to both academia and the broader healthcare community.

*Currently pending approval of the substantive change for this program from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
