About the Interim Associate Dean

Eric J. Sanders, Ph.D. CCC-SLP

Eric Sanders serves as Interim Associate Dean for the School of Rehabilitation Sciences at Moravian University and is an Associate Professor of Speech-Language Pathology.

A collaborative academic leader and educator, Dr. Sanders draws on extensive experience as a certified speech-language pathologist supporting children in public schools, with a specialty in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). His scholarship centers on investigating service delivery for individuals who use AAC as well as the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.

Dr. Sanders has held key administrative roles, including Program Director for the Master of Science Program in Speech-Language Pathology. His teaching spans graduate and undergraduate coursework in areas such as AAC, school-age language and literacy, clinical linguistics, and research methods. He is committed to mentoring students and working with colleagues to advancing equitable, practice-informed scholarship across the health professions.

He earned both his M.S. and Ph.D. in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
