Reeves Library Special Collections is pleased to provide digital access to The Comenian, the college's student newspaper, dating back to 1914. Here is a digital collection of The Comenian covering the years 1914 to 1919 (World War I), and 1957 to 1967. The first collection, WWI, is supplemented by materials from a former SOAR student's project to create curriculum materials using this historic publication.
The menu on the left sidebar links to specific coverage. The collection is open to the public.
Today, The Comenian is an online publication.
From The Comenian's About page:
"The Comenian is Moravian College’s student-run newspaper and one that has long served as a strong voice of the student body.
"The Comenian is established for the purposes of reporting news and other information relevant to the campus, providing a forum for discussion among students and faculty, and giving students training and experience in the field of journalism. The Comenian understands and is committed to fulfilling its responsibility of abiding by Moravian College’s policies and the policies of United Student Government.
"The Comenian welcomes input and feedback. We invite writers, editors, photographers, graphic designers, and other creatives to contribute to the newspaper. The club meets every week on Thursdays at 4:00pm in Memorial 301."
