Moravian STARs - Student Alumni Representatives
Who We Are
The Moravian STARs promote a sense of pride in Moravian University in both students and alumni, and we have a lot of fun doing it!
Our purpose is to engage students with alumni in order to better understand Moravian University tradition and enhance their academic experience through meaningful events and programs. To foster a student's pride in Moravian University with the understanding that they are students for four years, but are Greyhounds for life.
Moravian STARs are Sophomore, Junior, and Senior members of the Moravian community who are actively involved on the college campus. They embody the Mission and Vision of the University at all times and are proud to represent the 6th oldest college in the nation and the first educate women.
What We Do
The STARs provide avenues for students and alumni to interact with another. We hold various activities throughout the school year and during the summer. The Student and Alumni Networking Events in NYC and Philadelphia, Freshmen Welcome Picnics, The Alumni Association Awards Ceremony, An Evening on Main Street, and Thank-a-Thon, are just a few of the events STARs sponsors.
Student Alumni Career Networking Events
These events offer a unique and valuable opportunity for MU students to network and connect with alumni in their career or field of interest. Alumni answer questions, offer advice, and discuss career option with the students. Students learn a valuable lesson in the art of mingling and networking, some even receive job or internship leads. Since the program began on campus in 2002, over 200 students and alumni attend yearly representing over 25 careers/fields of interest present. We now offer similar events in NYC, Philadelphia and Washington DC.
