Student Alumni Representatives (STARs)

Who We Are

Moravian Student Alumni Representatives (STARs) promote a sense of pride in Moravian University students and alumni, and we have a lot of fun doing it! Our purpose is to engage students and alumni to help them better understand Moravian University tradition and enhance their academic experience through meaningful events and programs. To foster a student's pride in Moravian University with the understanding that they are students for four years, but are Greyhounds for life.

Moravian STARs are sophomore, junior, and senior students who are actively involved on campus. They embody the mission and vision of the University at all times and are proud to represent the sixth-oldest college in the nation and the first to educate women.

What We Do

The STARs provide avenues for students and alumni to interact with one another. We hold various activities throughout the school year and during the summer, including student and alumni networking events in New York City and Philadelphia, freshmen welcome picnics, Shining Lights, the alumni awards ceremony, Evening on Main Street pre-holiday shopping event, and Thank-a-Thon.

Student-Alumni Career Networking Events

These events offer a unique and valuable opportunity for students to network and connect with alumni in their careers or fields of interest. Alumni answer questions, offer advice, and discuss career options with the students. Students learn valuable lessons through mingling and networking; some even receive job or internship leads. Since the program began on campus in 2002, more than 200 students and alumni attend yearly representing over 25 careers/fields of interest. We now offer similar events in New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C.
