2002 Emerging Leader Award

Tennant Magee '96

The Moravian College Alumni Association gratefully acknowledges Tennant Magee '96 with its 2002 Emerging Leader Award for his dedicated service to his alma mater. As an undergraduate, Tennant was active in a variety of activities that included participation on the senior class gift committee, student phonathon, United Student Government, the Comenian, Delta Tau Delta, and the golf team. Following graduation Tennant received a Master of Political Science from Lehigh University and a J.D. from the University of Baltimore's School of Law. He is presently working for the Maryland State Attorney's office and resides in Baltimore, Maryland. In addition to his demanding graduate schedule, Tennant has continued his involvement with Moravian, serving on the Young Alumni Board, acting as class agent, and attending numerous events and programs. He has focused his attention on challenges and issues facing his alma mater, carefully studying Moravian's home page on a daily basis. In 2001 he initiated alumni support that helped to obtain an invitation for Moravian to apply for recognition in the prestigious Princeton Review Guide to the Best 345 Colleges. The Review subsequently extended an invitation for application to Moravian, resulting in Moravian's acceptance as a member in the 2003 edition.
