The Emerging Leader Award is presented to an alumna or alumnus who graduated within the last ten years, for his or her leadership and dedicated service to Moravian College. The Moravian College Alumni Association gratefully acknowledges Alyson L. Remsing ’03 as its 2010 Emerging Leader Award recipient for her outstanding service and dedicated leadership to Moravian College.

As an undergraduate, Alyson was active in a variety of campus activities serving as Class Secretary from 1999-2003, Vice President of Sigma Sigma Sigma, and as a 26 Points Ambassador. She was a student assistant in the Moravian College Admissions Office, where she conducted campus tours for prospective students and participated in open houses. She also served as a student assistant in the Moravian Athletic Training/Sports Medicine Department. A Dean's List student, Alyson was elected to the Phi Alpha Theta Honors Society and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science.

Following graduation from Moravian, Alyson entered Northampton Community College, and in 2005 was awarded an Associate degree in Applied Science in Paralegal Studies. While working on her Associates Degree, Alyson was employed at Roscioli Law Offices. In 2006, Alyson became the Judicial Secretary to the Honorable Paula A. Roscioli of the Northampton County Court of Common Pleas.

Alyson maintains her close ties to Moravian serving as the Secretary of the Alumni Board and as a member of the college’s Young Focus Group. She also serves as Co-Chair of Homecoming activities. Recently Alyson has become active with Sigma Sigma Sigma's Alumnae Advisory Board.

Alyson finds time to serve as an Adjunct Professor at Northampton Community College and serves on their Paralegal Advisory Board. In the past she was a member of the Board of Directors and Secretary of the Sayre Childcare Center, and volunteered with the Historic Bethlehem Partnership as a member of its Turkey Trot Committee.

Alyson is currently working on her Masters Degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education Administration at Kutztown University. She resides in Bethlehem, PA.
