Medieval Studies Student Learning Outcomes

• Students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the interdisciplinary approaches that are foundational to the study of the Middle Ages and will be able to articulate and draw on methodologies and scholarship in multiple fields relevant to the minor.
• Students will be able to identify the major periodizations and transitions within the Middle Ages and analyze the significance of important cultural, social, and political events that took place during the Middle Ages.
• Students will be able to interpret, analyze, and contextualize Medieval English literature and articulate the main developments in English literature during the Middle Ages.
