Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies
The Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies program is an interdisciplinary program that examines the role of gender and sexuality in a global context. The program invites students to consider the psychological, social, economic, artistic, and political effects of gender and sexuality in their own and others’ lives, both historically and in the present. With an emphasis on the intersections of race, class, gender and sexuality, the Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies program brings multiple academic disciplines to the work of learning about, and critically questioning, the wide diversity of experiences of women, men, and transgender individuals.
