Three years ago, Sally Breidegam Miksiewicz and her father, DeLight Breidegam Jr., were planning to surprise the matriarch of the family, Helen, by naming the new health sciences center at Moravian College after her.

On Thursday, April 13, members of the local media got a sneak peek at the Sally Breidegam Miksiewicz Center for Health Sciences, Moravian College's newest building. The sound "is the most stunning thing I've ever heard," said author, poet, essayist, and Moravian College professor Joyce Hinnefeld at a reading from her novel "In Hovering Flight" at Northampton Community College on April 10.  The recording she played captured the delicate, melodious warbling of a wood thrush.
