Jeffrey Lesitsky is the United States Eventing Association's Volunteer of the Month. He was always intrigued by horses, but it wasn’t until he attended Moravian College that he got the chance to ride for the first time. Before he was a volunteer in the eventing world, Jeffrey used his equestrian skills in service to Sebastian Riding Associates, a facility for children and adults with mental and physical challenges. Jeffrey later started out volunteering as a crossing guard before he learned about volunteer opportunities in the stabling area. He said, “The people, the horses, the festivities – everything! Everyone is there to do a job, but one job everyone does is have fun! Volunteering is rewarding in many ways. Everybody should give it a try!”
