What is your current job title or name of the graduate program you're pursuing?

I’m a corporate communications specialist with Lehigh Valley Health Network. I also am an adjunct instructor with Muhlenberg College and have taught two writing courses at Moravian.

What do you do at said job or within program?

Strategy and planning of LVHN’s involvement in pursuing quality recognition and awards; media relations; providing counsel and communications activities for the network’s internal “clients.”  The adjunct position includes teaching healthcare topics to adult students in the accelerated program at the Wescoe School.

What was your first job like after graduation?

I worked in maintenance in a nursing home in Bethlehem, then landed my first newspaper reporting job.

Did Moravian's English Department influence your career path?

Sure, I believe everything I did at Moravian influenced not just my career path but my life in general. It gave me a broad education in critical thinking, some writing experience and a love for the English language, both spoken and written. But this experience was just a first step in my ever-developing skills in writing, something I don’t think one every truly perfects.

For fun: what is your favorite work of literature?

I loved the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series and Bonfire of the Vanities, and much of Hemingway’s works; I also appreciate a number of Jodi Piccoult’s books.
