Dr. Keegan is program director of the Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology. Her previous experience includes serving as the Undergraduate Program Director of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Appalachian State University in North Carolina.
Dr. Keegan’s primary research focuses on identifying the linguistic skills of individuals with cognitive communication disorders after traumatic brain injury. She employs various linguistic analysis methods to investigate the communication strengths and skills of this population. As a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, she provides Speech-Language Pathology services to individuals with traumatic brain injury and thus, her research also examines optimal treatment approaches for these cognitive communication difficulties. In addition to clinical research, Dr. Keegan also conducts research in the scholarship of teaching and learning as related to the areas of clinical education, experiential learning and problem-based learning. Dr. Keegan has numerous peer-reviewed publications, has received funding from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and has presented her work at many national and international conferences.

Dr. Keller is Assistant Professor and serves as the Director of Clinical Education for the Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology Program. Dr. Keller received her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Baylor University and completed her doctorate in Medical Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to joining Moravian, she was a faculty member in the Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences at the University of Connecticut.
Dr. Keller brings clinical experience across the lifespan with a focus on medically fragile patients in both acute care and rehabilitation settings. She also brings over 10 years of experience in pharma/biotech where she worked to translate scientific research into best practices for clinicians and patients.
Her primary research focus includes functional reserve & aging, comparative effectiveness in clinical practice, and evidence-based clinical education. In addition, her interests include global practices in the communication sciences with the goal of enhancing scientific and clinical practice exchange worldwide.
Dr. Keller has published in peer-reviewed publications and presented her work in national and international forums. Her work includes patient education materials, continuing education for speech-pathologists, and multi-disciplinary training for allied health personnel, nursing, medical students and residents.

Dr. Sanders is a faculty member in the Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology program. His areas of specialty are child language and literacy development. Dr. Sanders’ clinical experience includes six years practicing as a speech-language pathologist in the Miami-Dade County Public Schools, including three as an augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) specialist. His doctoral work was completed at the Center for Literacy and Disability Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His current lines of research include studying ways to improve the literacy skills of individuals with complex communication needs and exploring aspects of service delivery for children who require AAC.

Monica Kaniamattam is an Assistant Professor of Speech-Language Pathology in the Rehabilitative Sciences Department at Moravian College. She obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and her Masters in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology from Manipal University, India. In India, she has extensively worked with children with complex communication needs (Including Cerebral Palsy, Intellectual Disability, and Autism) and their families. She has also organized various parent training workshops and community-based rehabilitation (CBR) programs.
Her current clinical and research interests include multiculturalism, diversity, global perspective on Alternative and Augmentative Communication Disorders, qualitative research methodologies, and the impact of children’s complex communication needs (CCNs) on the family system. She has conducted fieldwork in rural India, to understand the Lived experiences of parents and families of children with CCNs. She is currently collaborating with experts in the field and working towards optimizing family-centered service delivery for children with CCNs by building effective parent-child-clinician collaboration in a culturally sensitive fashion.

Rebecca Becknal is an Assistant Professor of Speech-Language Pathology in the Rehabilitative Sciences Department at Moravian College. As a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, Dr. Becknal has worked in both medical and school-based settings. Dr. Becknal’s research focuses on preschool and school-age language development and disorders across the continuum of disabilities, including examining language and literacy assessment and intervention practices. With her prior clinical practice experience, she is particularly interested in clinical research related to school-based practice and personnel preparation including the dissemination of research, collaboration, and professional development. Dr. Becknal’s current lines of research are focused on language complexity assessment measures and school-based SLPs’ diagnostic decision-making skills.
Carly is an ASHA certified speech-language pathologist in practice since 2010. Her professional interests include voice care, chronic cough, PVFM/VCD, head and neck cancer, and swallowing disorders. As a writer and student of narrative medicine, Carly also explores the link between how our stories impact our voices. Her work has been published in trade and literary magazines, blogs and in a forthcoming memoir.
Jessica graduated from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania with her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She is a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) and has additional training and certification for feeding in the infant and pediatric populations. Jessica also enjoys working with the general speech-language, especially with the birth-5 population.
Mark attended East Stroudsburg University for both his undergraduate and graduate degree in Speech and Language Pathology. Mark currently practices at Physical Therapy at St. Luke’s North Outpatient Hospital where he treats individuals of all ages and diagnoses. Mark has extensive experience in various areas of speech, language, and hearing disorders including Apraxia, Auditory Processing, Augmentative Communication, Cognitive-Communication, Developmental Delays, Fluency, Pragmatics, and Voice. Mark has received various specialized trainings including: Language Acquisition through Motor Planning (LAMP), Interactive Metronome (IM), Prompts for Restructuring Oral and Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT), Vital Stimulation Therapy, Myofascial Release trained for Neck, Voice, and Swallowing Disorders, Hanen Certified, and Dementia Capable Care Specialist Certified.
Jennifer received her bachelor's degree from Kutztown University and her master's degree from West Chester University. She has been a practicing Speech Therapist in the Lehigh Valley for 20+ years in both clinical and educational settings. Jennifer has extensive experience working with students with Autism and Down Syndrome as well as social language groups.
Amy S. Taylor
Amy graduated from James Madison University with her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She has practiced in the outpatient clinical setting for 15+ years. She enjoys seeing patients across the lifespan. She has additional training and certification with PROMPT, Vital Stim Certification, and SOS Approach to Feeding.
