Family Weekend: September 17 & 18, 2021

Friday, September 17

  • 5:45 - 6:45 p.m. - Check-in at the Haupert Union Building Kiosk  
  • 4:45 - 6:30 p.m. (By invitation only) - Zinzendorf Family Fellows Garden Party at the President’s House
    • Families who are part of Zinzendorf Family Fellows (ZFF), our newly established family giving society, are invited to enjoy a garden party with President Bryon L. Grigsby ’90, P’22, at his home. If you would like more information on ZFF or are interested in becoming a Fellow yourself, please contact Jessica Weaver, Leadership Gift Officer, Family Philanthropy, at weaverj02@moravian.edu or 610-625-7945.
  • 6-6:45 p.m. - Moravian Trivia, Haupert Union Building, Pavilion
    • Do you really know your facts about Moravian? Care to test your knowledge? Join fellow Hound families for a fun night of Moravian-themed trivia. Two winning families will receive a gift basket full of new Moravian University swag! 
    • $5 per parent/family member. Admission for Moravian students is free! 
  •  7:00 p.m. - Late Night Comedy, Prosser Auditorium 
    • Join us for some evening magic and comedy by Daniel Martin, sponsored by Moravian Activities Council (MAC).
    • Admission is free, but registration is required below! 

Saturday, September 18

  • 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon - Check-in at the Haupert Union Building Kiosk
  • 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. - Coffee and Conversations, Haupert Union Building, Pavilion
    • Check-in for the day and enjoy a light continental breakfast and a chance to mix and mingle with fellow Hound families.   
  • 10:00 - 10:45 a.m. - Presentation about Study Abroad Opportunities by Dr. Anize Appel, Haupert Union Building, Prosser Auditorium
    • Dr. Anize Appel, Associate Director of Global Education, will present on the Study Abroad process and opportunities.
    • Admission is free, but registration is required below!
  • 11:00 - 11:45 a.m. - State of the University Address by President Bryon L. Grigsby ’90, P’22, Haupert Union Building, Prosser Auditorium
    • Moravian’s President, Dr. Bryon L. Grigsby ’90, P’22, will present the State of the University Address with updates on current Moravian happenings and what’s in store in the near future.
    • Admission is free, but registration is required below!
  • 12:00 - 1:30 p.m. - Tailgate on the Academic Quad
    • Enjoy a tailgate-style lunch with a live DJ and fun lawn games for the whole family. In addition, there will be representatives from our academic and administrative offices available on the PPHAC patio to answer questions about the variety of services their offices provide to students.
    • $15 per family member. Moravian students are free! 
  • 12:00 noon - Greyhound Field Hockey vs. The Catholic University of America, Makuvek Field
    • Join us at Makuvek Field and watch as the Greyhounds take on The Catholic University of America Cardinals.
    • Admission is free!
  • 1:00 - 3:30 p.m. - Greyhound Football vs. Susquehanna River Hawks, Rocco Calvo Field
    • Join us at Rocco Calvo Field and watch as the Greyhounds take on the Susquehanna River Hawks. 
    • Shuttle service to Calvo Field will run from the 1742 splotch starting 45 minutes before kickoff and for 45 minutes after the game back to campus. 
    • Admission is free, but registration is required below!
  • 4:00 p.m. - Men’s Soccer vs. Neumann University Knights, Makuvek Field
    • Join us at Makuvek Field and watch as the Greyhounds take on the Neumann University Knights. 
    • Admission is free!

Three times a year, the Moravian University community comes together for a seasonal festival. Our Fests are opportunities for students, faculty, and staff, and their families to connect outside of the classroom and the office.
