Research
Every Chemistry and Biochemistry major at Moravian is given the opportunity to do research with a faculty member or participate in an internship with local industry. These research training experiences elevate Moravian students into exciting careers and high quality graduate school and professional schools in medicine, dentistry, and pharmacology. Many students participate in research with faculty through the Honors program, SOAR program, and independent study. Potential on-campus projects include organic or inorganic syntheses, peptide chemistry, biochemical binding studies, molecular orbital calculations, or spectroscopic or electrochemical studies of reaction intermediates and mechanisms. The department encourages students to get involved in original research during their years at Moravian University.
