Residents students are required to have a meal plan. Commuters and off-campus students may elect to add a meal plan at any time. A complete list of current meal plan options and requirements are on the Tuition & Fees page.
Understanding the Meal Plan Structure & Use
All meal plans are semester based and are comprised of two components: Dining Dollars and Meal Swipes.
- Dining Dollars function as a currency similar to debit account and can be used in all dining facilities.
- Meal Swipes can be used to gain entry into one of the all-you-can-eat options (Clewell & Marketplace), as well as on the purchase of Meal Deal specials and made-to-order items in the Blue & Grey Cafe and Root Cellar.
Unused Dining Dollars from the Fall Semester can be applied to the Spring Semester; however, unused Meal Swipes do not transfer between semesters. Dining Dollars do not transfer between academic years.
Students may check their balance at anytime online using their Moravian login.
Meal Plan Selection
Returning students will have the opportunity to select their meal plan for the upcoming year during the Spring Semester.
New residents will be defaulted to the Silver Meal plan and will have the opportunity to upgrade or change their meal plan after housing assignments are announced in early July.
In both instances, students will be emailed a link to the electronic form to select their meal plan.
Want to Change or Appeal?
Students may request a change to their meal plan during the first 2 weeks of each semester by emailing email@example.com. Students may appeal to a lesser meal plan by completing the Special Accommodation Request Form.
